The bite is on at Mille Lacs Lake! In typical June fashion the walleyes are showing up on all three major structures out here. Good bites being reported on the rocks, gravel, and mud. Bobbers and leeches are working as always, with electronics playing a larger role in targeting shallow daytime walleyes.
The smallmouth bite also remains strong, even as we wane out of the spawn. Immediately following the spawn, smallmouth tend to be fairly aggressive before they move onto their summer patterns. Ned rigs drug along large rock structures are a staple at this time.
Good musky fishing has been reported since opening day, with many anglers having follows and boating fish. A few caught fish reported in the upper 40's to lower 50's range.
Good Luck Fishing!
